A Journey of Healing: From Singapore to Integrated Wellness
Born into a Sino-Malaysian heritage, I spent over a decade in Singapore before setting down roots in the United States in 1993. Growing up, I was deeply influenced by the principles of Eastern medicine, which emphasize balance, holistic healing, and the body's natural ability to restore itself. This foundation instilled in me a deep appreciation for how Eastern medicine and conventional medicine can work together, bridging ancient wisdom with modern science to enhance overall well-being.
My career began in customer service, where I developed strong communication skills and a deep appreciation for human connection. But something was missing—a deeper purpose, a calling beyond routine. While studying at a Technical College, I found myself drawn to holistic well-being, leading me to enroll at Arbor College School of Massage. In 2012, I graduated with a Diploma in Clinical Massage Therapy, marking the beginning of a transformative journey.
For years, I refined my skills at a local day spa, but in 2017, a return trip to Malaysia and Thailand reignited my passion for healing. Inspired by traditional practices and the wisdom of Eastern medicine, I established XHALE Massage Studio in 2018—a space dedicated to holistic care, renewal, and integrative wellness.
As my practice evolved, so did my curiosity. The COVID-19 pandemic reinforced my belief in restorative therapies, pushing me to explore new modalities. While I initially pursued CranioSacral Therapy, my focus shifted toward Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy (MLD), a gentle yet powerful technique that enhances circulation, reduces swelling, and supports the body’s natural detoxification process.
I trained in Manual Lymphatic Drainage through the Klose Vodder method, a highly respected, certified approach to MLD. This specialized training has equipped me with advanced techniques in lymphatic therapy, ensuring that my work meets the highest standards of professionalism, precision, and client care.
Now, XHALE Massage Studio has grown into XHALE Integrated Wellness, where I continue offering Integrated Massage Bodywork and Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy. My approach isn’t just about relaxation—it’s about helping clients feel restored, empowered, and truly aligned with their well-being through a blend of traditional and modern healing principles.
Healing is a journey, and I am honored to walk this path alongside every client who steps into my practice.
